Individual Therapy & Counselling

Navigating life’s challenges can be overwhelming, but I’m here to help. At Meade Counselling, I offer a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours, and work towards personal growth and healing.

Online and face to face appointments

I aim to empower you to live a fulfilling life through understanding and compassion, using evidence-based therapeutic practices. Together, we’ll build a trusting relationship, focusing on the present but also exploring how past experiences affect your current situation. My approach is tailored to you, challenging perspectives where appropriate to foster self-awareness and new understanding.

Specialised Support

I specialise in helping individuals dealing with eating disorders, addiction, and abuse. With experience in facilitating groups for disordered eating and collaborating with the NHS, I bring a comprehensive understanding of these issues. My integrative background includes psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, and addiction-based models, allowing me to tailor our sessions specifically to your needs.

How I Can Help

Whether you prefer face-to-face or online sessions, I offer flexible counselling options. My office, located just outside Bury St Edmunds, provides a peaceful, private setting for our meetings. For those who need remote support, I also offer sessions via Zoom or Skype.

What to Expect in Your First Session

Your first session is all about us getting to know each other. We’ll discuss your needs, and I’ll explain my approach to help us determine if we’re a good fit. This initial session is an opportunity for you to ask questions about my therapeutic methods and to understand how I can best support your journey.

Flexible and Accessible

I offer a range of scheduling options to fit your lifestyle. In addition, a small number of concessionary spaces are available for those who need them.

1:1 Therapy

My session with you comes from a person-centred approach, which essentially means that we work together to focus on your individual experiences and needs, you are at the helm alongside me as we work together.
