Addiction Counselling

Struggling with addiction can be isolating and challenging, but you don’t have to overcome it alone. At Meade Counselling, I provide dedicated support to help you navigate the complexities of addiction and reclaim control over your life.

Understanding Addiction

Addiction isn’t simply a lack of willpower; it’s a complex issue that affects every aspect of life. Whether you’re dealing with alcohol, substance abuse, or behavioural addictions, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space where we can work through these challenges together.

My Approach

I utilise a combination of integrative and addiction-based therapeutic models tailored to your unique experiences and needs. This includes:

  • Comprehensive Assessment: We begin with an assessment to understand your specific situation and challenges.
  • Evidence-Based Therapies: Utilizing methods such as CBT and trauma-informed approaches to address both the symptoms and root causes of addiction.
  • Holistic Support: Focusing on the physical, emotional, and cognitive aspects of recovery to foster lasting change.

The Path to Recovery

Recovery is a journey, and each step forward is a vital part of your healing process. My goal is to empower you with the tools and strategies needed to manage cravings, cope with triggers, and build a fulfilling, addiction-free life.

Supportive Environment

Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is key to successful counselling. Our sessions are a safe space where you can openly discuss your experiences without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll explore any underlying issues contributing to your addiction and work on developing healthier coping mechanisms.

Flexible and Accessible Support

To accommodate your lifestyle, I offer both in-person sessions at my office near Bury St Edmunds and online sessions via Zoom or Skype. Flexible scheduling and a few concessionary spaces ensure that you can receive the help you need when you need it.

1:1 Therapy

My session with you comes from a person-centred approach, which essentially means that we work together to focus on your individual experiences and needs, you are at the helm alongside me as we work together.
